Can I park my private car with ViaVie during the rental period?
Yes, ViaVie has a spacious parking next to the showroom in Overijse. You can park your private car, at own risk, during the time of your rental.
Another option is to use public transport because the bus- and train stop are closeby.
Is public transport available near the ViaVie showroom?
Yes, there is a frequent bus line that stops right in front of the ViaVie showroom.
The closest trainstations are within walking distance (<2km) from the ViaVie showroom.
When booking your campervan you can also reserve a free shuttle to the trainstation.
Questions about rental
Can I bring pets?
Yes, bringing pets is allowed in principle, under certain conditions. First of all, this must always be reported to the landlord in advance. Which animal is it, how many animals, size of the animal? This allows the landlord to grant explicit permission via e-mail, but also to offer, for example, a specially provided or suitable campervan.
The landlord is not liable for any traffic violations and / or fines related to the transport of pets in the campervan. The tenant must also observe any quarentaine measures imposed by European countries.
There is no pet fee or extra cleaning costs charged but the tenant is responsible for use as a "good family man" of the campervan. This does not include pets on seats, beds or mattresses, do not leave animals alone in the campervan. The tenant is responsible for any damage (inside and outside) caused by the pet.
Wanneer kan ik de campervan oppikken? Wanneer moet ik deze terugbrengen?
ViaVie is continuously open from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm. During peak season (July & August), we also open on Sundays. As a tenant, you are free to choose your departure date. It is not required to pick up on Friday or Saturday. During peak season you can easily avoid busy weekend traffic in Europe.
We start pick up at 8am and expect renters coming back during the afternoon between 4pm and 6pm. In exceptional cases, we can agree to deviate from these opening hours.
At ViaVie, we strive for maximal flexibility for the renters in function of their travel plans (e.g. ferry connections etc.). If available, we can agree to pick up the campervan the evening before the actual rental period.
What is the minimum accounting period? Can I also book for a weekend?
ViaVie offers you the flexibility you need. We only have a minimum booking period of 48h/2days. Shorter trips for a weekend or a mid-week are therefore definitely possible. Moreover, the days of departure and arrival are free to choose. Based on your calendar and our availability, we like to discuss the posibilities with our rental customers.
Cleaning of the campervan?
The complete and thorough cleaning of the inside and outside of the campervan is always included in the rental price. All kitchen equipment is also thoroughly cleaned between rental periods, and we also provide new, washed mattress covers for every rental.
The tenant returns the campervan as a "good housefather" on delivery. The rented extras such as chemical Toilet or rear tent must be cleaned by the tenant. The cleaning and cleaning of kitchen equipment must be carried out by the tenant. In the event of specific damage or contamination, the rental company shall charge a cost.
The tenant takes care of the filling of fuel (diesel) from the campervan, the filling of the clean water tank and the complete emptying of the dirty water tank.
What should I bring when I collect the campervan?
When you collect the campervan you should bring: Identity card or passport of the person responsible for the lease. Upon departure, a rental agreement will be completed and signed, where the tenant will also state his home address in Belgium.
In addition, we will make a copy of the identity card and driver's license for all vehicle drivers. You also provide a credit card or bank card for reservation or payment of the deposit.
Will I get an explanation of the campervan before departure?
Upon each departure, the tenant will receive a personal tour of the rented campervan. Please count for at least 20min to 1h explanation depending on the period and duration of your trip.
We will discuss with you all the functionalities of the rented vehicle e.g. how the refrigerator, the auxiliary heater or how to refill water or drain dirty water, open the door, open and close the popup roof. We also effectively show you how to do it and alert you to known mistakes to avoid all possible damage from misuse.
In addition, on our site, you will find some instruction videos that could come in handy to watch before departure. During your trip we are also available for all your questions. Finally, the campervans are always provided with full manuals in the language of the tenant.

Questions about insurance
Which insurance is included in the rental price?
The rental price is always inclusive of a full insurance cover. This includes, in addition to civil liability and legal assistance, a full omnium cover (own damage, theft, fire, glass-break, overflowing game, ...).
If you have any damage or an accident during your trip, you can get support 24/24, 7/7 from the call center anywhere in Europe. ViaVie has taken out a fleet insurance with AG Insurance which you can rely on excellent damage statistics.
Guarantee and exemption for insurance?
We provide a €800,00 deposit for each of our campervans. This deposit can be paid by bank transfer to our bank account (1 week before date of departure) or by payment by bank card or reservation on credit card when collecting your campervan.
What conditions are there for the driver campervan?
The absolute minimum age for driving a campervan is 23 years (on the date of departure) in addition, the driver(s) must have a valid type B driving license for at least 5 years without a driving ban.
Several drivers are allowed without additional costs. Upon departure, please provide us with a copy of each driver's license. All campervans are provided for license type B.
Are my personal luggage and equipment insured as well?
Personal items and baggage but also, for example, electronics are not covered by the insurance of the landlord. We recommend that tenants contact their personal insurance company for additional coverages under their insurances or travel insurance. Many credit card companies offer similar services as well.
Campervan equipment? What is provided?
What kitchen and cooking utensils are provided?
Each campervan is equipped with basic kitchen utensils for 4 persons (or 5/6 pers. if applicable). This package includes cups, mugs, large and small plates and cutlery all neatly cleaned and provided within a convenient storage basket. To cook, we provide a basic set of pots, a kettle and a frying pan.
The tenant will have to provide his personal items for cooking, coffee, tea ed. As well as kitchen towels, washing-up liquid and dishcloths.
Mattress protectors and sleeping gear?
Each campervan is equipped with newly washed mattress protectors, 1 per mattress. Using these is mandatory.
The tenant provides his personal sleeping gear (blanket or sheets), pillows, stuffed animals ed.
Fuel, water, gas and electricity?
At pickup, the campervan is always equipped with a full diesel tank and full AdBlue tank. The tenant also brings back the campervan with full diesel tank, a petrol station is available within 100meters of the ViaVie showroom. AdBlue should not be filled up unless required while traveling.
At pickup, the campervan is provided with a full water tank and an empty and cleaned waste water tank. The tenant brings back the campervan with empty dirty water tank. It is not necessary to fill up/empty the fresh water tank.
Campervans with a built-in kitchen are delivered with a variable gas level, according to the level of gas brought back by the previous tenant. If necessary, we can estimate whether the gas level is sufficient for normal use during your journey. For longer rental periods we always install a new 2,75KG Campinggaz bottle. If desired, the tenant can bring another reserve gas, e.g. for longer trips to Norway. For this purpose, the cost price of the gas bottle is charged.
Each campervan is equipped with an additional battery for the living area (next to the vehicle engine battery). It has an autonomy of 2 to 4 days (depending on the type of campervan and use) and is charged while driving. You can also recharge the residential battery via an external 230V socket. Coupling and extension cable are provided in each rented vehicle.
Towbar?
All ViaVie campervan are equipped with a tow bar. A folding (90°) bicycle rack for 2 or 3 bicycles can also be rented. For information, these are also suitable for e-Bikes up to 30kg weight per bike.

Who should I contact in case of emergency?
In the event of a serious accident or other emergency, you will contact the local emergency services depending on the country. Before your departure, make a note of the main contacts per country you wish to visit.

What happens when we experience technical problems with the campervan?
ViaVie campervans are as good as new vehicles (up to 1 years old) and are subjected to a thorough technical inspection every time they return (oil level, water level, tire pressure, ...). However, a breakdown or technical problem can always happen.
Therefore during your trip you can always (24h/24h and 7/7) call our ViaVie assistance. When you leave, you will receive all the necessary phone numbers and emails so that you can always contact us via mobile phone.
